We like this video as it doesn't have the artist physically in it, and yet manages to portray a strong euphoric atomosphere to the song by only using one actor, therefore this would be an easier video to repicate and take ideas from. It begins with an establising shot of the view from the coast, with the sun setting and no sound. The overall mis-en-scene of this shot connotes tranquility and calm. It then continues with an aerial shot of the waves crashing onto the rocks. This imediately creates a scenic view which gives the audience a sense of escapism. I also like how, the song starts by being diegetic when a close-up shot is shown of the back of him, placing his timeless headphones on, then turns non-diegetic as he starts rollerscating. The overall video connotes freedom and joy which is shown through an extreme close-up of the actors smile and is quite powerful as it subverts the inflexible old-age stereotype and builds up a narrative by revealing this man's talent/happiness. This power is reinforced by high angled shot, as we are looking up to the actor, as he is spinning around.
